This week, we will be making tarts and special pastries. The tarts can be savory and sweet, and the pastry cream and apricot glaze can be use d in a variety of sweet tarts.
Dishes:
Fresh Fruit Tart, Fruit Tart, Chocolate Tart, Lemon Tart, Vegetable Tart, Pastry Cream, Praline Cream, and Apricot Glaze
Prior Knowledge:
I have not made tartes before, but I do enjoy eating egg tarts. The closest thing that i have made is a quiche, as it is a tart without a crust.

This week, we will "prepare baked and unbaked tarts and tartlets" and " prepare a variety of special pastries based on puff pastries." ( Gisslen, 2021, pg. 365). We will learn how to create the filling of the tarts and other elements such as pastry cream and apricot glaze.
